A groundbreaking survey conducted by Lissun, a customer-centric mental health platform, has shed light on a critical issue. More than 70% of respondents revealed that they tend to delay seeking expert mental health consultation until they reach advanced stages of distress. This alarming trend signifies a significant gap in accessible mental health support for individuals.

Dr. Krishna Veer Singh, the director and co-founder ofLissun, recently discussed the startup's unwavering commitment to addressing this issue in an interview with CNBC-TV18. He emphasized their mission to make mental health support widely accessible. "Lissun's mission is very simple: to solve mental health at scale. We are trying to achieve this through the six A's - awareness, acceptance, access, affordability, assurance, and anonymity," stated Singh.

The survey findings also revealed that over 60% of respondents reported that their families often hold reservations or objections when it comes to mental health counseling. This is primarily due to a lack of awareness, acceptance, or the persistent stigma surrounding mental health. Lissun's mission, therefore, not only involves providing access to mental health services but also addressing these societal barriers that discourage seeking help.

Lissun has made significant progress in this field, having served over 25,000 individuals so far. Their goal is to double this number within the next five months. By doing so, they aim to combat the delay in seeking mental health support and to challenge the stigma that still surrounds the topic.

Lissun's innovative approach, with its focus on awareness, acceptance, access, affordability, assurance, and anonymity, promises to be a game-changer in the realm of mental health support. The startup is well on its way to creating a positive impact on individuals' well-being and challenging the longstanding barriers to mental health consultation.
