Shivam Yadav and Prakash Dahiya, identified as the victims, revealed to the police that they were traveling from Khairi to Bharoula when they encountered the SDM's vehicle on the road. When Yadav failed to yield to the SDM's car, it escalated into a pursuit. The SDM's vehicle, along with the tehsildar's, blocked their path, leading to a forced stop.

Amit Singh and Vinod Kumar, along with their drivers, pulled the victims from their vehicle and subjected them to a brutal assault with sticks, causing significant injuries. Kotwali Police Inspector Rajesh Chandra Mishra confirmed the registration of a case against the SDM, Tehsildar, and two others under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, based on medical reports and victims' statements.

District Collector Buddhesh Kumar Vaidya promptly removed SDM Amit Singh from his position pending a thorough police investigation. Further actions will be determined based on the outcomes of the ongoing inquiry, ensuring justice is served in this alarming case of official misconduct.
