Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde praised PM Modi, stating Balasaheb Thackeray would've lauded the Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya. Shinde emphasized that this fulfilled Thackeray's aspirations. He highlighted Modi's role in realizing dreams like Article 370's abrogation and the Ram Temple. Shinde also spoke about his rebellion against Uddhav Thackeray, asserting it was to uphold Balasaheb's legacy.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, addressing a rally in Rajapur, emphasized the
resonance between Balasaheb Thackeray's aspirations and Prime Minister Narendra
Modi's actions. Shinde underlined that if Thackeray were alive, he'd have
commended Modi's efforts in construction of the Ram Temple, which was a
long-held dream.
Highlighting
the significance of recent events, Shinde noted that the Ram Temple's
construction and the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir mirrored
Thackeray's visions. He reiterated that Modi's leadership had been instrumental
in manifesting these long-cherished goals.
With the approaching date for the enshrining of Ram Lalla at the Ram Temple's sanctum-sanctorum on January 22, Shinde acknowledged the deep-rooted cultural and historical significance of Ayodhya. He mentioned the scheduled attendance of Prime Minister Modi at the consecration ceremony and the vital role of Vedic priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit from Varanasi in performing the rituals.
Shinde,
reflecting on his past discord with Uddhav Thackeray, clarified that his
actions were aimed at preserving Balasaheb's ideology rather than personal
motives. He emphasized their commitment to Thackeray's principles, citing
instances where his faction contributed financially to the Shiv Sena when
needed.
The
aftermath of the split between factions led to the Election Commission
designating Shinde's faction as 'Shiv Sena,' holding the 'bow and arrow'
symbol, while Uddhav Thackeray's faction was named 'Shiv Sena (UBT),'
represented by the flaming torch symbol.
This
discourse by Shinde not only underscores the alignment between Balasaheb
Thackeray's aspirations and Modi's actions but also emphasizes the continuity
of ideological adherence within the Shiv Sena's legacy.
