The suspense thriller "Merry Christmas" starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi witnessed a substantial uptick on its second day, collecting Rs 3.50 crore in India. With an overall 18.15% Hindi occupancy, the film's gripping storyline and stellar performances by the lead stars garnered positive reviews. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the Christmas-themed movie revolves around the unexpected turn of events between two strangers.

In a cinematic spectacle, the collaborative efforts of Bollywood sensation Katrina Kaif and acclaimed actor Vijay Sethupathi in the suspense thriller "Merry Christmas" have taken the box office by storm. The film, directed by Sriram Raghavan, unfolded its gripping narrative on January 12, and the second-day collections reflect a promising journey ahead.

On the inaugural day, "Merry Christmas" earned Rs 2.55 crore with an occupancy rate of 11.56%, setting the stage for what would unfold in the subsequent days. The suspenseful tale gained momentum on its second day, accumulating an impressive Rs 3.50 crore in India. The cumulative collection now stands at a commendable Rs 6.05 crore, attesting to the film's increasing popularity among audiences.

India TV journalist Aseem Sharma, in a comprehensive review, commended the film's storyline for showcasing each character with purity, creating a captivating experience for viewers. He emphasized, "The film's narrative binds you to the end," underscoring the immersive nature of the plot. Furthermore, Sharma praised the lead actors, Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, for delivering performances that truly justified their respective characters.

Morning shows garnered 10.82%, afternoon shows saw a surge with 17.28%, evening shows maintained a strong 21.67%, and night shows concluded the day with an impressive 22.84% occupancy.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, "Merry Christmas" also features a stellar supporting cast, including Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kazmi, Tinnu Anand, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Radhika Apte. The movie revolves around the unexpected encounter of two strangers on Christmas evening, transforming a day-old romance into a gripping and nightmarish tale.
