In the match between the Mumbai Indians and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday, renowned pacer Jasprit Bumrah bowled and claimed five wickets in as many overs. In a brilliant display of bowling ability, Bumrah completely demolished the Bengaluru batting order. He made an immediate impression, getting rid of the prolific Virat Kohli, the owner of the Orange Cap, for just three runs in the opening over. Bumrah delivered a twin blow, firstly by bowling out skipper Faf du Plessis (61), and then by making a furious comeback in the seventeenth over. This handed a double blow to the team.

He repeated his hat trick in the next over, and in the 19th over, he finished with five wickets, grabbing two wickets off back-to-back deliveries, to continue his relentless assault. He finished strongly, taking five wickets in his innings. In this particular instance, he fired Saurav Chouhan (9) and Vijay kumar Vyshak (1).

Despite the wicket's batting-friendly conditions, Bumrah limited Bengaluru to 196/8 on his alone. With 27 deliveries left, MI managed to score, despite Bumrah missing two close tries at a hat trick.

Even Bumrah's RCB opponent gave him credit after MI's decisive victory. The Royal Challengers' top bowler, Mohammed Siraj, approached Bumrah and bowed to his Indian colleague as part of the traditional handshakes. This kind gesture was given to Bumrah. The gesture surprised Bumrah, and he backed up a step before they embraced.
