Sadly, According to
ANI, a Ganesha murthi, a LokSabha member from the Tamil Nadu town of Erode and
a member of the Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), passed away on
Thursday morning by a cardiac arrest.
The hospitalization he received on March 24 is believed to have been the result of an attempted suicide. Ganesha murthi reportedly felt uneasy after winning a seat in the LokSabha on the DMK ticket in the 2019 elections. On March 24, she was reportedly taken to a private hospital in the city. These details have come from the police.
The PTI claims that after his initial assessment, he was sent to the intensive care unit and placed on a ventilator. Later thereafter, the LokSabha member was transferred to a private hospital in nearby Coimbatore.
Several legislators visited the hospital to discuss Ganesha murthi's condition. These politicians included AIADMK leader K. V. Ramalingam, BJP MP from Modaku richi Dr. C. Saraswathy, and State Minister for Housing and Urban Development S. Muthusamy.
Ganesha murthi, a well-known figure in the MDMK, was a legislator three times. When the party chose not to nominate him for the Erode LokSabha seat in the next elections, he apparently felt disappointed. In addition to agreeing to let the MDMK to retain the Tiruchy seat, the DMK has chosen to run a candidate in the Erode poll. The MDMK's Durai Vaiko, son of MDMK general secretary Vaiko, is running for the Tiruchy constituency. It was recently made public.
