After a complaint was made, his punishment was lifted. Faruqui was detained in accordance with the requirements of COTPA 3, or the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act of 2003, based on the information that was provided. Tuesday night's operation during the raid on the hookah bar led in the arrest of thirteen additional individuals.

In compliance with the above specified statute, each and every prisoner had a booking. Faruqui remained at the hookah bar, unaware that the raid had begun. Future sanctions would be imposed upon him if the results of his medical testing were positive.

He was free to go, as far as the higher ranked police officers were concerned. The police raid was prompted by indications that nicotine was being mixed with tobacco goods at the hookah parlor. During the operation, nine hookah pots valued at 13,500 and 4,400 rupees were seized by the police.

There were now more inquiries into the situation.
