National Award Victory for Pushpa's Composer Devi Sri Prasad Elicits Profound Sense of Surreality

The movie "Pushpa: The Rise," starring Allu Arjun, has triumphed at the 69th National Film Awards. Allu Arjun was honored with the Best Actor award for his outstanding performance as Molleti Pushpa Raj. Additionally, composer Devi Sri Prasad received the Best Music Director (Songs) award for his remarkable contributions to the film's music. In an exclusive discussion with indianexpress.com, DSP conveyed his appreciation for the recognition and also congratulated MM Keeravaani for securing the National Award as Best Music Director (Background Score) for "RRR."

Expressing his gratitude, he remarked, "Appreciation goes out to Director Sukumar sir, the producer, my close companion and brother Allu Arjun, and the entire team. The experience of receiving an award is beyond words. I extend my thanks to the audience for embracing and cherishing the music of Pushpa. It's rare to achieve both commercial success and recognition, and receiving both for Pushpa is truly a blessing. I'm genuinely thrilled. My heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their affection. Additionally, I also crafted the music for the film Uppena, which secured the Best Telugu Film award."

Adding to this, DSP shared his thoughts on MM Keeravani's National Award win for Best Music Director (Background Score) for "RRR." He stated, "To begin with, we didn't anticipate the award since they had already won an Oscar. Nevertheless, both 'Pushpa' and 'RRR' emerged victorious in the music category. It's a significant honor. 

The award for the best background score was rightfully bestowed upon Keeravaani sir. I extend my sincere congratulations to him, Rajamouli sir, the complete 'RRR' crew, and Jr NTR and (Ram) Charan. 'Pushpa' secured an award for its songs, a recognition that fills me with deep appreciation."
