The East Midnapore district of West Bengal has Bhupatinagar. On Saturday morning, NIA officers arrived there to find themselves ambushed. When the explosion occurred in 2022 at the residence of a Trinamool Congress member, the authorities were investigating.
First reports
stated that bricks were thrown at an NIA team vehicle, breaking its windshield.
At 5:30 in the morning, when the event occurred, the neighborhood surrounded
the automobile and began to throw stones at it. An officer in the police
department voiced concern over the possibility that one of the NIA officers had
also been hurt.
Two persons were
caught by NIA agents earlier today in connection with the incident, according
to PTI; the van they were traveling in was attacked while they were making
their way back to Kolkata.
According to
reports, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also filed a police
complaint over this matter. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team that
is stationed in Bhupatinagar with the two inmates has apparently received a
large contingent of the central police force.
On December 3,
2022, an explosion in Bhupatinagar damaged a thatched-roofed house and killed
three people inside.
Eight leaders of
the Trinamool Congress were called in by the National Investigation Agency
(NIA) to be questioned about the incident.
Regarding the
TMC, the BJP was responsible for an NIA action. The central investigative
agency ordered that the eight appear before its officials on March 28 after
they had disregarded the previous summons that had directed them to the
neighboring NIA office in New Town.
The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party, according to TMC chairman Kunal Ghosh, was in charge of making the choice.

Purba Medinipur area and is planning to arrest them.
A team of
Enforcement Directorate officials was ambushed two months before the attack on
the National Investigation Agency (NIA) team while they were trying to search
the home of Shahjahan Sheikh, a local TMC leader on suspension who was close to
Jyoti Priya Mallick, the state food minister who was arrested in connection
with the multi-crore ration distribution scam in West Bengal. The ED team was
also attacked by the center group's ancillary forces. Three employees needed to
be admitted to the hospital by the emergency room.
