Leading Aam Aadmi Party figures fasted for the entire day on Sunday in Delhi's Jantar Mantar to express their disapproval of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's detention. They also accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of dictating policy.

A large number of party volunteers and supporters were among those who abstained from food in the country's capital. They participated by chanting patriotic songs and waving posters of Kejriwal in jail.

Party officials claim that similar demonstrations have been organized by a number of states and even by Indians living overseas. These protests have taken place in a variety of locations, including the Indian Embassy in Washington, DC; Harvard Square in Boston; the Hollywood Sign in Los Angeles; New York Times Square; Toronto; London; and Melbourne.

Along with ministers GopalRai, Saurabh Bharadwaj, KailashGahlot, Imran Hussain, and Speaker of the Delhi Assembly Ram Niwas Goel and Deputy Speaker Rakhi Bila, senior AAP officials also participated in the all-day 'Samuhik Upwas' at Jantar Mantar.

Sanjay Singh, a member of the Rajya Sabha and a representative of the Aam Aadmi Party, addressed the throng at Jantar Mantar and stated, "Kejriwal was, is, and will remain honest." The Supreme Court recently granted Singh bail in relation to the Delhi excise scandal.

He cast skepticism on Kejriwal's arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, pointing out that only four of the 456 witnesses questioned by the CBI and ED mentioned the national leader of the AAP. Singh claims that the public is aware of the circumstances behind the appearance of these witnesses, who go by the moniker Kejriwal.

He directed the Aam Aadmi Party volunteers to put in more effort in order to guarantee that party candidates and those from the INDIA bloc win the LokSabha elections. This would therefore make it possible to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah from their positions.

Speaking, Delhi Minister Atishi charged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of dictatorship and predicted that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will have "sleepless nights" as a result of their fast. Widespread public outrage was triggered by Kejriwal's assertion that the arrest would be the "final nail in the coffin" for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

According to party officials, a number of politicians from Punjab, which is run by the AAP, including Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, fasted beside one another in Khatkar Kalan, the place where independence fighter Bhagat Singh was born.

The people is being called to fast in protest against Kejriwal's detention by Gopa lRai, the head of the AAP branch in Delhi. He claimed that the Enforcement Directorate's move to arrest Kejriwal in connection with the Delhi excise policy scheme was evidence that the BJP was preparing to remove the AAP.
