laws. They express concern that these amendments could further restrict the
freedoms of religious minorities. Notably, the bill passed despite lacking the
President's signature.

the August 16th incident where a mob attacked churches and homes of Christians,
lawmakers stress ongoing religious persecution in Pakistan. They fear that if
