A 16-year-old Pakistani girl and two men were apprehended at Jaipur Airport due to their inability to produce valid passports and visas while attempting to book a flight back to Pakistan. The girl, known as Ghazal Parveen, had arrived in India three years prior with her aunt and had been residing in Sikar's Shrimadhopur since then.
The incident unfolded when Ghazal Parveen, accompanied by the two men, visited the airport to arrange her return journey to Pakistan. Authorities promptly detained all three individuals and launched an investigation into the matter.
Jaipur Airport's Police Station's SHO, Dikpal Singh, disclosed that during questioning, Ghazal Parveen claimed to have travelled to India alongside her aunt on a flight. However, the perplexity lies in how her aunt managed to enter the country without the required travel documents. The investigation is ongoing, with both Ghazal Parveen and her aunt expected to undergo further questioning.
This occurrence is not an isolated event, as there have been two other cases involving individuals crossing international borders to reunite with their partners. One such instance involved a 34-year-old Indian woman, Anju, who travelled to Pakistan to be with her Pakistani husband she had met on Facebook in 2019. Another case featured a Pakistani mother of four, Seema Ghulam Haider, who illegally entered India to be with her Hindu partner, whom she had met while playing PUBG.
As authorities continue to delve into the current situation, it highlights the complexities and challenges in monitoring cross-border movements. The incident underscores the necessity for strict immigration measures to ensure national security and effective border control.
