In a recent development, Bollywood veteran Govinda has officially confirmed his reconciliation with renowned director David Dhawan after years of discord. The duo, known for their iconic collaborations in blockbuster films like "Hero No. 1," "Coolie No. 1," and "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan," had been at odds for an extended period. However, their recent appearance at producer Ramesh Turani's Diwali celebration signaled a positive turn in their relationship, suggesting a possible reconciliation.

Speaking to Bombay Times, Govinda expressed his contentment at the public's desire to witness their collaboration once again. "Yeh unka pyaar hai. Our patch-up had already happened. This was our second meeting," said Govinda. He highlighted their recent rendezvous at the Diwali bash, where they shared pleasant moments and relished delectable cuisine, affirming their resolve to let bygones be bygones.

Govinda further elaborated on their interaction, emphasizing that delving into past grievances was not their focus. Instead, their conversations centered around reminiscing about joyful memories from their shared past, highlighting the camaraderie they once shared.

A significant revelation came to light regarding the cause behind their fallout. In 2019, Govinda disclosed an incident where he overheard a conversation between David Dhawan and his secretary. Dhawan allegedly expressed reluctance to work with Govinda, suggesting smaller roles instead. This revelation deeply disturbed Govinda, leading to a decision to sever ties with Dhawan. Despite attempting to reconnect later for a guest appearance, Dhawan did not respond, solidifying Govinda's decision to distance himself.

Govinda substantiated his stance, stating, "I do not think he is that same David Dhawan whom I used to know." However, the recent reconciliation signifies a potential revival of their iconic collaboration, sparking excitement within the Bollywood industry and among fans eagerly anticipating their reunion.
