After
graduating from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Microsoft's Windows
and Surface divisions are led by Pavan Davuluri.
Davuluri became in charge after the departing of Panos Panay, the former head of the department. Panay gave notice of his resignation to begin working for Amazon. Interestingly, Microsoft separated the Surface and Windows teams, assigning different managers to each. Davuluri had been in charge of the Surface silicone project and Mikhail Parakhin had been in charge of Windows before then. Davuluri, on the other hand, has assumed leadership of Windows and Surface in response to Parakhin's declared desire to investigate "new roles."
Davuluri is a town with connections to India. He received his degree from the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Madras. With this new role, he joins a long list of Indians who have achieved great success in American technology organizations, such as Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, and countless more.

The Verge received an internal letter written by Rajesh Jha, Microsoft's chief of experience and devices. The letter revealed Parakhin's departure and Davuluri's taking on of new tasks. Davuluri will now submit his report to Jha. As part of this change, the Windows Experiences and Windows + Devices teams will merge, becoming a crucial component of the Experiences + Devices (E+D) division. In this AI era, that will enable us to create hardware, systems, experiences, and gadgets that transcend the Windows client and the cloud. Pavan Davuluri will be in charge of this team in addition to reporting to me. They will report directly to Pavan, as will the teams of Jeff Johnson and Shilpa Ranganathan. In his article, he stated that the AI teams at Microsoft and Windows will continue to collaborate closely on hardware, AI, and user experiences.
It has been more than 23 years since Davuluri first started working with Microsoft. Davuluri began working at Microsoft as the dependability component manager following his completion of his postdoctoral research and master's degree at the University of Maryland.
