The Central Water
Commission announced, The water level in Yamuna River has crossed the danger
mark of 205.33 mtr, touching 206.24 mtr with 207.49 mtr being the high flood
level.
The rising water
level has caused an Orange alert. Residents who were living on the river bank
have been forced to live on the streets.
Visuals from the
temporary residence of people are clearly depicting their despair. They have
shifted on the roadsides and footpaths with all of their belongings from
utensils to cattles.

Due to overflow
of all the rivers in Haryana Ambala has been put on high alert. Floods because
of heavy rainfall resulted in the cut off of many villages from cities in
Karnal. Administration has set foot on grounds as villages remain waterlogged
in Karnal.
Mathura, UP is also facing water logging due to heavy downpour.

Monsoon has put a
halt in transportation services in which railway and road transportation has
been majorly affected. Trains operation
on the Sanehwal-Ambala rail route were held and various trains were diverted
following inclement weather in North India.
Rail traffic over
the old Yamuna bridge is temporarily suspended since 06.00 a.m.
