The occasion, also designated as National Youth Day, marks the commencement of the 27th National Youth Festival in Nashik, Maharashtra. This unique celebration, organized by the Department of Youth Affairs, aims to engage and empower, the diverse youth across the nation.

Swami Vivekananda, born Narendranath Datta, played a crucial role in reviving Hinduism during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
