Bihar witnessed a significant political upheaval as Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' traversed through Kishanganj, a district known for its substantial Muslim population and Congress stronghold. This move came a day after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's surprising departure from the I.N.D.I.A bloc to reunite with the NDA.

Rahul Gandhi, making his first appearance in Bihar since the 2020 Assembly poll campaign, is set to address public gatherings in Kishanganj, Purnea, and Katihar. Congress legislature party leader Shakil Ahmed Khan confirmed the schedule, highlighting the strategic importance of these locations.

The Yatra, signaling a shift in Bihar politics, coincided with Nitish Kumar's move, adding complexity to the unfolding scenario. Nitish Kumar, who walked out of the Opposition's grand alliance, faced criticism from the Opposition, vowing a response from the people in upcoming elections.

Despite the political turbulence, Congress extended invitations to alliance partners RJD President Lalu Yadav and CPI(ML)-L General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya for the Purnea rally. Notably, an invitation was also extended to Nitish Kumar before his alliance switch, underscoring the swift changes in Bihar's political landscape.

Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' resumed from Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, after a brief hiatus, further emphasizing its nationwide impact. The Yatra is strategically planned to traverse West Bengal, Araria district, and Jharkhand, demonstrating its broader influence on the political narrative.

As Bihar braces for upcoming elections, the 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' and Nitish Kumar's alliance shift have set the stage for a dynamic political contest, with implications reaching beyond the state's borders. The I.N.D.I.A bloc remains determined to contest unitedly against the BJP-led NDA, emphasizing the resilience of the Opposition alliance.
