Vicky Kaushal's "Sam Bahadur" faces a slowdown at the box office, struggling to surpass the 50 crore mark after a strong opening. Despite its biographical war drama theme, the film lags behind as compared to the success of "Animal," starring Ranbir Kapoor, continuing its dominance globally.
In
the ongoing battle at the box office, Vicky Kaushal's portrayal in "Sam Bahadur" faced a substantial slowdown following its initial weekend surge.
Despite its captivating storyline surrounding the 1971 India-Pakistan war and
the emergence of Bangladesh under the leadership of Sam Manekshaw, the film
struggled to maintain its momentum.
"Sam
Bahadur" witnessed a notable decline in its weekday business after a
commendable opening weekend. The film's earnings plummeted, hindering its
journey to cross the significant milestone of Rs 50 crores by the end of its
sixth day. Recent reports from Sacnilk.com disclosed that on its ninth day, the
film accumulated a net collection of Rs 6.75 crore in India, summing up its
total to Rs 49.05 crore.
The comparative performance of "Sam Bahadur" against its counterpart, "Animal," starring Ranbir Kapoor, remained starkly different. While "Animal" continued to set unprecedented records, breaching the Rs 500 crore mark globally within just six days of release, "Sam Bahadur" struggled to maintain its foothold in the Indian box office.

Despite its talented ensemble cast, including Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, and directed by Meghna Gulzar, "Sam Bahadur" grappled with sustaining audience engagement. The film aimed to pay homage to the remarkable contributions of Sam Manekshaw to the Indian Army but struggled to match the overwhelming success of its contemporaries in the box office arena.
