School in Delhi Receives Fake Bomb Threat via Email

A private school in Delhi’s RK Puram on Thursday received a bomb threat, said officials.

As per them, the email was delivered to the official email account of Lal Bahadur Shastri School (LBS) during the late hours of Wednesday evening.

As per reports, following the receipt of the threatening email, the school informed the police, leading to an investigation into the matter that was carried out on Thursday morning.

After a thorough investigation, the police have confirmed that the email was a hoax. They are now pursuing leads to locate and identify the person responsible for sending the deceptive email.

In line with the findings that confirmed the email as a hoax, the school resumed its normal operations and, as per the original plan, the school authorities successfully conducted the scheduled exam on Thursday.

This year, in the month of May, a private school situated in Delhi's Push Vihar area experienced a similar situation when they received an email warning of the presence of explosives on their premises.

Upon receiving information regarding a bomb threat via email at the school, the authorities quickly sent several police teams along with a bomb squad to respond to the situation.

To ensure the safety of the students, students were evacuated from the school premises, and thorough searches were carried out.

Subsequently, the police confirmed that the email threat was a false alarm, and their search of the school premises yielded no signs of any suspicious or dangerous items or activities.
