Taking to Twitter, Jayarajan set the record straight, stating, "There are some stories circulating about my lost dog. Here's what actually happened: my furry friend accidentally slipped out of the house through an open gate and went missing. Thankfully, some compassionate citizens of Meerut discovered her wandering on the road and took her in, providing her with excellent care."

Jayarajan continued, shedding light on the heartwarming efforts made by these caring individuals, saying, "They went the extra mile, searching the nearby areas for her rightful owner. Upon realizing that my dog was missing, they promptly reunited us within a day. It was the exceptional kindness and watchfulness of the people of Meerut, along with the blessings of Mahadev, that ensured her safe return. I express my heartfelt gratitude to these incredible souls."


Earlier reports, including one from India Today, had alleged that Jayarajan had enlisted the help of Uttar Pradesh police to conduct an extensive search operation for her stolen Siberian Husky. These reports claimed that police officers tirelessly combed through over 500 houses, displaying photographs of the beloved pet to numerous individuals. According to an Indiatimes article, the search persisted from Sunday night until Monday evening, with authorities even scrutinizing CCTV footage in the vicinity.
