Police detained seven individuals after raiding a suspected rave party in a studio apartment in Pune’s Kharadi area early Sunday morning. The raid, conducted by the city’s Crime Branch based on a tip-off, led to the recovery of narcotic substances, alcohol, and hookah paraphernalia.

According to officials, the apartment was located in one of Kharadi’s upscale residential zones. Acting on credible information, police entered the premises and discovered ganja, liquor bottles, and hookah setups being used by the party attendees.

Among those detained were five men and two women. One of the men is reportedly the husband of a woman politician, a detail confirmed by police sources but not officially named. Authorities have not disclosed the identities of the other individuals at this time.

A senior police official stated, “We received reliable input about a rave party taking place in the Kharadi area. Our team acted swiftly and conducted a raid. During the operation, we found and seized banned substances and detained seven people from the location.”

The group is currently in police custody, and the process of registering a case is ongoing. Officials are preparing to send the confiscated substances for forensic analysis, and further legal action will depend on test results and statements from the detainees.
