Shoaib Akhtar:-
In a recent podcast show hosted by Hafiz Ahmed, former cricketer Shoaib Akhtar expressed his firm stance against remarriage. Reflecting on his own journey with his wife and sharing his perspective on second marriages, Akhtar acknowledged the Islamic allowance for multiple marriages but emphasized his personal belief in the significance of unwavering commitment to one's spouse.
He stated, "One is enough. While people have the option to pursue remarriage, I strongly believe that once you form a deep connection with someone who has chosen to be with you, it is essential to reciprocate by making sacrifices and treating them with kindness and affection."
In his statement, Akhtar emphasized the significance of being an inspiration to one's spouse, stating, "By possessing a strong character, you can become a source of motivation for your wife." Reflecting on the origins of his relationship, Akhtar shared that he and Rubab Khan, his wife, had the opportunity to spend time together during their families' pilgrimage to Hajj.
It was during this sacred journey that Akhtar's mother expressed her desire for them to be united in marriage, a wish he never hesitated to fulfill, as he had always respected her wishes.
While Akhtar considers himself to be quite open-minded, he acknowledged that his Wife holds more conservative values. As a result, he exercises caution when it comes to sharing personal details about their lives on social media and other public platforms, out of respect for her preferences.
He emphasized that he wholeheartedly supports his wife's choice to maintain privacy. In 2014, towards the conclusion of his illustrious cricketing career, Akhtar and Khan exchanged vows, and they have since welcomed two sons into their lives.
