A speeding BMW hit a scooter in Noida’s Sector 30, killing a five-year-old girl and injuring two adults. The victims were returning from a hospital visit. The driver fled but was later arrested. A case has been filed for rash and negligent driving under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

A five-year-old girl lost her life in a tragic road accident in Noida’s Sector 30 early Sunday when a speeding BMW crashed into a scooter near Child PGI Hospital. The incident occurred around 12:20 am as the victims were returning home after a hospital visit.
Gul Mohammad, a resident of Sector 45, was riding the scooter with his relative Raja and his daughter Ayat, who had just received medical attention. Just outside Gate Number 3 of the hospital, a Haryana-registered BMW, reportedly driven by a student, rammed into the two-wheeler from behind.
Ayat died instantly, while Gul Mohammad and Raja suffered serious injuries. Both are undergoing treatment at a local hospital. Assistant Commissioner of Police Praveen Singh stated that the family had just finished consulting doctors before the fatal collision occurred.
The BMW driver fled the scene, but police swiftly traced the vehicle through its registration number. Two 22-year-old occupants of the car — Yash Sharma from Sector 37 and Abhishek Rawat from Sector 70 — were located and taken into custody. Investigations confirmed that Yash Sharma was behind the wheel during the crash.
Authorities have registered a case at the Sector 20 police station under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to rash driving, endangerment to life, and causing death by negligence.
