On the first day of Navratri, known as PratipadaTithi, the Ghatasthapana, or Kalash installation, is carried out. Chaitra Navratri is the name of the nine-day national festival. During this time, Maa Durga is worshipped in her nine forms with great devotion. The entire church comes together to remember this day, demonstrating their unwavering devotion.
The nine manifestations of MaaDurga that are worshipped daily are Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri. During the celebration, people fast and present offerings, or "bhog," to the goddess.
When is the Navratri Ghatasthapana Shubh Muhurat in 2024?
Before engaging in the rituals, one should be aware of the dates and times listed below for the pujas associated with Ghatasthapana, according to Drik Panchang:
The Ghatasthapana Muhurat will be observed on Tuesday, April 9th, from 6:02 am to 10:16 am.
It is planned that the Ghatasthapana Abhijeet would happen on April 9 from 11:57 am to 12:48 pm.
The Pratipada Tithi will take place on Saturday, April 9th, from 8:30 p.m. to 11:50 p.m. Additionally, the Vaidhriti Yog begins on April 8 at 6:14 p.m. and finishes on 9h April at 2:18 p.m.
