2, revels in the triumph of his recent comeback venture. During a recent
appearance on Koffee With Karan alongside his brother Bobby Deol, Sunny
emphasized the film's "organic collection" while discussing its
earnings. He boldly stated that no Gadar film could come to fruition without
his involvement, asserting his rightful claim to the iconic role.
Unfazed by box office figures, Sunny expressed, "I am honestly not fixated on the numbers. The audience's appreciation is what matters most. Their enjoyment suffices for us. Labels like 'best' or 'biggest hit' hold no sway." Director Anil Sharma was initially thought to have crafted the film as a launchpad for his son. Notably, Sunny Deol's presence was limited in a significant portion of Gadar 2, focusing instead on the love story between Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur.

When questioned about the possibility of
a Gadar film without him, Sunny responded, "It might come across as
immodest, but I assert that there can be no Gadar without me. I have a
legitimate claim to that character. Much like 'Phool Aur Patthar,' 'Sholay,'
and 'Pratigya,' where my father held the rights to 'Satyakaam,' I want my roles
to remain uniquely mine. If not Sunny, then no one."
Sunny Deol's assertion of his indispensability in the Gadar franchise underscores his dedication to the iconic character and solidifies his irreplaceable presence in future installments. His candid approach to success and artistic ownership further highlights his commitment to his craft.
