Ajay Devgn's supernatural thriller 'Shaitaan' dominates the box office, inching closer to the Rs 100 crore mark in India and grossing over Rs 100 crore globally within a week. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film has garnered praise for its star cast and engaging storyline.

In a triumphant stride towards cinematic glory, Ajay Devgn's supernatural thriller, "Shaitaan," is captivating audiences and critics alike. The film, featuring Devgn and Jyothika in lead roles, has successfully maneuvered through the week, emerging as a box office juggernaut. According to Sacnilk.com, "Shaitaan" amassed a commendable sum of Rs 5.75 crore on Thursday alone, bringing its total Indian collections to a staggering Rs 80 crore net. Remarkably, the film has already soared past the coveted Rs 100 crore mark globally within a mere week since its theatrical debut. "Shaitaan" now stands as the third highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024, trailing only behind the likes of "Fighter" and "Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya," featuring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon.

The film's box office trajectory paints a picture of unprecedented success:

Day 1 (Friday) - Rs 14.75 crore

Day 2 (Saturday) - Rs 18.75 crore

Day 3 (Sunday) - Rs 20.5 crore

Day 4 (Monday) - Rs 7.25 crore

Day 5 (Tuesday) - Rs 6.50 crore

Day 6 (Wednesday) - Rs 6.25 crore

Day 7 (Thursday) - Rs 5.75 crore

Totaling an impressive Rs 79.75 crore in its domestic run.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, "Shaitaan" is a riveting Hindi adaptation of the Gujarati horror film "Vash." Notably, Janki Bodiwala reprises her role as Devgn's on-screen daughter from the original. The ensemble cast includes R. Madhavan portraying a negative character, alongside Devgn and Jyothika essaying the roles of her parents. Adding to its allure, "Shaitaan" is jointly produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak.

India TV's Jawa Dwivedie lauds "Shaitaan" for its gripping narrative and stellar performances, asserting that the film, though predictable, merits a watch.
