In Surat, Gujarat, a chemical factory explosion and subsequent fire resulted in a grim outcome, with seven missing workers discovered deceased and 25 injured individuals currently receiving medical attention. The incident occurred at a manufacturing facility in the Sachin GIDC industrial area after an explosion in a tank storing inflammable chemicals. This catastrophic event has prompted investigations into fire safety and forced a closure notice for the company involved.

The tragic event unfolded when an explosion rocked the chemical plant, leading to a fire that engulfed the three-story building.
