'Gold Digger'

Despite a recent cardiac arrest and subsequent angioplasty, Sushmita Sen is energetically championing her upcoming show "Taali," helmed by acclaimed National award-winning director Ravi Jadhav. In addition to her health and professional endeavors, the actress grabbed attention last year due to Lalit Modi, the polarizing entrepreneur and cricket official behind the Indian Premier League (IPL), declaring a romantic involvement with Sushmita and hinting at an impending marriage.

After Lalit's assertions, Sushmita endured being labeled a "gold digger" across social media platforms. She addressed this matter through an Instagram post initially. Presently, Sushmita has candidly discussed the incident, asserting that her private life should remain beyond public scrutiny. During an interview with Zoom Entertainment, she expressed, "An insult only holds weight if you accept it, and I simply chose not to. Hence, it lost its significance. Some aspects should rightfully remain outside the realm of public concern."
