Chennai, April 19, 2024: Tamil Nadu saw a remarkable display of star power, with the biggest names in Kollywood marching out to vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls.

The actors of megastars Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar and Sivakarthikeyan were the very early voters in the Chennai capital of the state. They were seen around town, in polling places, in the morning hours.

Ajith Kumar was one of the first to arrive, reaching a booth in Thiruvanmiyur as early as 6:45 am in the morning to go to the voting station. Finally, the actor who keeps his life private was seen talking to the reporters on his way out of the polling station.

He is followed by Rajinikanth, the seasoned actor who, to date, has a hold on massive fan following. On this particular day, he showed up in his iconic style with tinted glasses, posing for pictures after voting, with the inked finger as the final proof of doing his civic duty.

Apart from Sivakarthikeyan, the young actor who is now a comedy star but also does leading man roles, was also there to exercise the right to vote with a warm welcome from the spectators.

All three of them asked the public to vote en masse and be active in order to strengthen democracy. The postings of their pictures or videos soon became the talk of the town and spread like wildfire through social networks.

This is the beginning of the momentum now built by the Tamil Nadu election authorities, and they are indeed hoping that the voters will turn out in large numbers this year through all the constituencies of the state.

The stars of the big screen who are on tight schedules for their shooting were seen postponing such commitments to attend to their social duty. Rajinikanth is looking forward to the release of Vettaiyan, which he co-stars with Amitabh Bachchan. Ajith Kumar is working on Vidaa Muyarchi, and he is paired with Trisha. Sivakarthikeyan has Amaran and a flick with AR Murugadoss in the queue as well.

Their initiatives to show them the way through example may, actually, be the key to convincing hundreds, if not thousands, to come out and cast their vote in determining the country's future. Now that the election process has been underway in Tamil Nadu, people are eager to note if this new high-profile voting system will result in the highest turnout ever seen at the polling stations.
