In a tense moment during a pre-election rally in Lalitabagh, Hyderabad, Akbaruddin Owaisi, an AIMIM leader and candidate for the Chandrayangutta constituency, clashed with a police inspector over breaching the Model Code of Conduct. Owaisi, adamant to continue his speech despite being asked to conclude due to time constraints, asserted his determination to speak and rebuffed any attempts to halt him.

The incident occurred ahead of the Telangana Assembly polls slated for November 30, with results due on December 3. Owaisi’s impassioned refusal to stop speaking led to a heated confrontation between him and the inspector. "Nobody is born who can stop me from speaking further," Owaisi declared, showcasing defiance amid interruptions.

Drawing attention to his resilience in the face of adversity, Owaisi referenced past challenges, stating, "After facing knives and bullets, I got weak? Still, there's lots of courage in me." His bold stance resonated with the crowd, garnering cheers of support.

Chandrayangutta has historically been an AIMIM stronghold, with the party claiming victory in the constituency during the past two Assembly elections in 2014 and 2018. However, this altercation has stirred controversy, casting a shadow over Owaisi's campaign.

The BJP swiftly reacted to the incident, condemning Owaisi’s actions and promising a forceful response if they came to power. Labeling AIMIM a "criminal enterprise" and accusing Congress and BRS of aiding its growth, the Telangana BJP vowed a "bulldozer reaction" to address the situation.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the BJP emphasized the need to rectify what they perceive as a deliberate creation of chaos and deprivation in the old city. They highlighted their determination to clean up the alleged mess created by AIMIM's influence.

This clash between Owaisi and the police inspector, followed by the BJP's strong reaction, has injected tension into the Telangana election atmosphere, setting the stage for a contentious run-up to the polls.
