Vijay's dedicated fanbase had eagerly awaited the trailer's release, and when it finally hit online platforms, it quickly became a sensation. The Leo trailer achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the fastest Indian film trailer to amass 1 millionlikes on YouTube. In just five minutes, it crossed the 1 million views mark, and within 15 minutes, it had surged past 2 million views. Astonishingly, the trailer also made history by collecting over 1 million likes in less than 21 minutes, surpassing Vijay's previous film "Bigil," which accomplished this in 58 minutes.

In the trailer itself, Thalapathy Vijay's character, Leo Das, is depicted as a ferocious figure immersed in a world soaked in bloodshed. Directed by Lokesh Kangaraj, "Leo" boasts a stellar cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Anurag Kashyap, Priya Anand, Trisha Krishnan, Mysskin, and Baby Antony in pivotal roles. This film marks the second collaboration between Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kangaraj, following their successful partnership in "Master," released in 2021.
