Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay's latest cinematic offering, "Leo," is making waves at the global box office, overshadowing Hollywood icon Leonardo DiCaprio's latest release. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, "Leo" has not only established a strong presence in the Indian film market but has also garnered substantial attention worldwide. The film achieved the remarkable feat of crossing the coveted Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office within just five days of its release.

Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay's latest cinematic offering, "Leo," is making waves at the global box office, overshadowing Hollywood icon Leonardo DiCaprio's latest release. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, "Leo" has not only established a strong presence in the Indian film market but has also garnered substantial attention worldwide. The film achieved the remarkable feat of crossing the coveted Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office within just five days of its release.

On Monday, "Leo" raked in a commendable Rs 35 crore net in India, with a significant portion of its earnings originating from the original Tamil version. This outstanding performance has solidified Thalapathy Vijay's status as a global box-office sensation.

Speaking of the film's international success, "Leo" grossed over Rs 400 crore in a mere four days, surpassing Leonardo DiCaprio's "Killers of the Flower Moon." According to reports from Variety, "Leo" earned $48.5 million after four days, while DiCaprio's "Killers of the Flower Moon" collected $44 million, making it the top-earning new release worldwide.

In India, the fifth-day collections of "Leo" reached Rs 35 crore, with an impressive Rs 26 crore originating from Tamil Nadu alone. The film also garnered Rs 7 crore and Rs 3 crore from Kerala and Karnataka, respectively. However, the Hindi version of the film managed to secure only Rs 2.5 crore on the fifth day. After factoring in the fifth-day figures, the total collection of this action thriller now stands at a substantial Rs 216.4 crore net in India.

"Leo" was released across a staggering 5,500 screens worldwide, underlining the film's immense global appeal and box office dominance. Thalapathy Vijay's charisma and cinematic prowess have once again proven to be a winning combination, captivating audiences and breaking box office records both in India and around the world.
