In the distressing turn of events in Rajasthan's Alwar district, a grave crime has surfaced where three police constables stand accused of a year-long rape of an 18-year-old woman. This heinous act has stirred shock and outrage across the community.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Anand Sharma, addressing the media, disclosed the horrifying details of this incident that shook the region. According to official statements provided by PTI, the victim bravely came forward on Saturday evening to lodge a complaint against the three policemen.

The victim, in her statement, detailed the traumatic experience of enduring repeated assaults by the accused officers for more than a year. What's even more appalling is the allegation that the perpetrators threatened her, coercing her into silence by threatening to falsely implicate her brother in a fabricated case.

The accused officers, identified as serving at different police stations within the district, were immediately withdrawn from their duties and attached to the Police Lines pending the investigation's progress. The case has been formally registered under severe sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 376-D (gang rape), along with provisions from the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, at the Raini police station.

SP Anand Sharma emphasized the urgency of the matter, highlighting the victim's courage in coming forward to report the atrocities inflicted upon her. Notably, the victim's complaint pointed out that she was a minor at the time of the initial assault, invoking the stringent provisions of the POCSO Act.

As investigations unfold, the focus remains on ensuring an unbiased and thorough inquiry. The accused constables have been transferred to prevent any interference with the ongoing investigations, though no arrests have been made as of yet.
