Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes, and Narcotics (NACIN) in Andhra Pradesh's Sri Sathya Sai district. The state-of-the-art campus spread across 500 acres, aligns with the PM's vision of governance improvement through civil service capacity building. The facility integrates cutting-edge technologies for enhanced training in customs, taxation, and narcotics control.

Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the National
Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes, and Narcotics (NACIN) in Palasamudram,
Sri Sathya Sai District, Andhra Pradesh. The inauguration, set for January 16,
marks a significant step in realizing the PM's vision of improving governance
through civil service capacity building.
PM Modi's itinerary includes a visit to the Veerbhadra Temple in Lepakshi village, where he will perform pooja and darshan. Later, at 3:30 pm, he will reach Palasamudram to inaugurate NACIN's new campus, which spans 500 acres. The campus is designed to be a hub for training officials in customs, central excise, goods and services tax, and narcotics control administration.

During
the inauguration, the Prime Minister will tour various sections of the NACIN
campus, including the Antiquities Smuggling Centre, Narcotics Study Centre,
Wildlife Crime Detection Centre, X-Ray, and Baggage Screening Centre. He will
also plant saplings in the academic block, interact with construction workers,
and present an accreditation certificate to NACIN, followed by an address.

Modi's engagement extends to interacting with Officer Trainees of the Indian
Revenue Service and the Royal Civil Service of Bhutan. Additionally, he will
release a book titled "Flora of Palasamudram."
The NACIN facility, with its emphasis on new-age technologies like Augmented & Virtual Reality, Blockchain, and Artificial Intelligence, signifies a leap toward advanced training and capacity building in the field of customs, indirect taxes, and narcotics control administration. This aligns with the broader goal of enhancing governance through innovative and technologically driven approaches.
