Tragic Love Triangle: Ex-Lover Gifts 'Home-Theatre Bomb', Kills Groom and Brother in Chhattisgarh's Kabirdham

An official reported on Wednesday that the Chhattisgarh Police have resolved the case of an explosion in a home theater music system in the Kabirdham district.

A tragic incident occurred in Kabirdham district, Chhattisgarh, where a newly married man and his brother lost their lives due to a home theater music system explosion. The home theater, which was gifted to the groom, was rigged with explosives by the bride's ex-boyfriend, as revealed by the police investigation. The blast also caused serious injuries to four others, and the impact of the explosion was so severe that it led to the collapse of the room's walls and roof. The groom, identified as Hemendra Merawi, lost his life on the spot, while his brother passed away during treatment.

 

Upon further investigation by the police, it was revealed that the explosion was caused by explosives planted inside the home theater system. Upon reviewing the wedding gift registry, the authorities discovered that the music system was a present from the bride's former partner.

 

The Kabirdham police have arrested a man named Sarju after identifying him as the accused in the case. Kabirdham Additional Superintendent of Police, Manisha Thakur, stated that during questioning, the accused admitted to gifting the bride a home theatre system with explosives planted inside. The accused allegedly carried out the act as he was angry with his ex-girlfriend for getting married.

 

Police reported that Hemendra Merawi got married on April 1st, but unfortunately, his brother Rajkumar, who was 30 years old, along with four others, including a one-and-a-half-year-old boy, sustained injuries and were subsequently taken to Kawradha's district hospital for treatment. Regrettably, Rajkumar passed away while receiving medical attention, whereas the others are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
