Tremors Felt In San Francisco, Emeryville, Piedmont, Oakland and Orinda: California, Earthquake

Early on Saturday morning, Berkeley, California, experienced an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.4. Reports state that Oakland, Emeryville, Piedmont, and Orinda all experienced earthquakes.
According to
data from the U.S.
Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at approximately 11:12 a.m.
Berkeley was located two miles east and southeast of the epicenter. The event
resulted in no injuries or property damage to anyone.
Early on
Saturday morning, Berkeley, California, experienced an earthquake with a
preliminary magnitude of 3.4. Reports state that Oakland, Emeryville, Piedmont,
and Orinda all experienced earthquakes.
According to
data from the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at approximately
11:12 a.m. The epicentre of the incident was South Berkeley's John Garber Park,
which is located right adjacent to the Claremont Canyon Regional Preserve. The
event resulted in no injuries or property damage to anyone.
Shortly after the earthquake, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency released the following statement: "We will be conducting visual safety checks of infrastructure, including in the subways in the city of San Francisco due to the earthquake that just took place." There can be brief pauses in service.

The day following
the first one, New Jersey was struck by a second earthquake with a magnitude of
4.8. The epicentre of the New Jersey earthquake was approximately 5 miles north
of Whitehouse Station. There might have been vibrations in New York City.
Residents of Virginia and Maine reportedly reported feeling the tremors after
the fact.
Major damage was
not recorded in New York or New Jersey.
