UAE Aids Chad With Shipment of Military Vehicles and Equipment in Fighting Terrorism

In what seems to be a strategic move, the United Arab Emirates has extended military support to the Republic of Chad by delivering a shipment of military vehicles and security equipment, with an aim to strengthen Chad's capacity to combat terrorism.

This recent dispatch of military vehicles and security equipment to Chad aligns with the deep-rooted and strong diplomatic relations shared by the UAE and Chad, across various domains. 

These ties have led to the signing of several bilateral agreements, including a crucial military cooperation pact in June. The agreement was signed during the official visit of Mahamat Idriss Deby, Chairman of Chad's Transitional Military Council, to Abu Dhabi, further solidifying the partnership between the two nations. 

During a formal ceremony,  the UAE Ambassador to Chad, Rashid Saeed Al Shamsi, officially presented the shipment of supplies to Chad's Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Daoud Yahya Brahim. 

The event was attended by esteemed Chadian military dignitaries, including the Chief of the General Staff of the Chadian Army and the Chief of the Strategic Reserve Forces.

The Chadian Minister of Defence conveyed deep gratitude and appreciation for the continuous support from the UAE, recognizing its crucial role in restoring regional peace and stability. 

Emphasising the importance of military cooperation, he highlighted its significance in enhancing security and effectively addressing challenges. 

The strong alliance between the UAE and Chad acts as a reassurance to foster a safer and more secure environment, ensuring collective efforts to overcome threats and promote lasting peace in the region.
