World Cup 2024, India faced South Africa at Willowmoore Park in Benoni.
Despite an early setback, India's U19 cricket team, under the captaincy of Uday
Saharan, clinched a thrilling victory to secure a spot in the tournament final.
Uday
Saharan's resilient innings of 81 runs off 124 balls, coupled with Sachin Dhas'
impressive 96 off 95 balls, propelled India to a hard-fought win. Despite being
reduced to 32/4 while chasing 245, Saharan's leadership steered the team to
their fifth consecutive World Cup final and ninth overall.
Reflecting on the intense encounter, Saharan acknowledged the team's determination, emphasizing the significance of partnerships in such high-pressure situations. He credited the team environment and coaching staff for maintaining morale throughout the match.

Saharan
highlighted the changing conditions during India's innings, noting that the

contrast, South African skipper Juan James commended Saharan and Dhas for their
pivotal partnership, which shifted the momentum in India's favour. Despite
their efforts, South Africa struggled to break the partnership, ultimately
conceding the match to India.
