Uttarakhand CM Dhami Directs Rescue: Silkyara Tunnel Trapped Workers Await Safety

Amid the ongoing efforts to rescue 41 trapped workers in Uttarkashi's Silkyara tunnel, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami set up a monitoring camp at Matali. He closely oversees the operation, remaining in constant contact with on-site officers. Dhami assured the workers of safety, stating that rescue teams were close to reaching them through the rubble. The trapped workers, hailing from various states, including Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, Assam, and Himachal Pradesh, await their safe evacuation. Families pray for their return, with assurances of the workers' good health coming through communication devices.

In the ongoing Silkyara tunnel rescue, Uttarkashi's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami established a temporary camp office at Matali to closely monitor operations. His constant communication with on-site officers aids in directing efforts effectively. Dhami visited the tunnel, assuring the trapped workers of their imminent rescue as teams progress through the rubble, reaching approximately 45 meters. He praised laborers Gabbar Singh Negi and Saba Ahmad for maintaining high morale and coordinating with the workers.

Moreover, Dhami highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's daily updates and reassured the workers about their families' contact and well-being. He emphasized the joint efforts of all agencies to ensure a safe and swift evacuation. Meanwhile, relatives, like Haridwar Sharma, brother of Sushil Sharma, expressed their concerns and hopes for the workers' safe return. He mentioned communication through a walkie-talkie, confirming the workers' good health and adequate provisions inside the tunnel.
