New CCTV footage in the Vadodara car crash case shows accused Rakshit Chaurasia drinking before the fatal accident. He denies being intoxicated, claiming a pothole caused the crash. Witnesses, however, suggest otherwise. One woman died, and four were injured. Authorities continue investigating while Rakshit expresses remorse and accepts fault.

New CCTV footage has surfaced in the Vadodara car crash case, showing 20-year-old law student Rakshit Chaurasia drinking from a bottle moments before the accident. The tragic incident, which occurred three days ago, claimed the life of a woman and left four others critically injured.
The footage captures Rakshit and his friend Pranshu arriving at a residence on a scooter before entering the building. While inside, Rakshit is seen drinking from a bottle, though the contents remain unverified. Later, another clip shows the black sedan involved in the accident parked nearby. The duo reportedly spent 45 minutes at the location before leaving, with Rakshit taking over the driver’s seat.
The accident took place on Friday when Rakshit, allegedly speeding, crashed his car into multiple two-wheelers. Witnesses claimed that he appeared intoxicated at the scene, with a video capturing him shouting, "Another round, another round!" after stepping out of the wrecked vehicle. Locals restrained him until the police arrived, and both he and Pranshu were arrested.

Despite the emerging evidence, Rakshit has denied being under the influence, blaming the crash on a pothole that, according to him, caused the car’s airbag to deploy and block his vision. He also stated that he was driving at only 50 kmph and had just attended a Holika Dahan celebration.
Expressing regret over the accident, Rakshit admitted fault and offered to meet the victims’ families. Authorities continue their investigation as forensic reports and further evidence are awaited to determine the exact cause of the crash.
