However, not widely known is the fact that Vicky once tried his luck by auditioning for the role of Shah Rukh Khan's friend in YRF's renowned film Jab Tak Hai Jaan. During a recent interview, Sharib Hashmi, who recently co-starred with Vicky Kaushal in the film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, disclosed an interesting detail about Vicky's journey. According to Sharib, Vicky had indeed auditioned for the role that ultimately went to Sharib himself. The makers, however, concluded that Vicky was not the right fit for the part. Consequently, Sharib took on the role in the film, joining fellow stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the cast.
