In a bid to enhance accessibility, WhatsApp, owned by Meta, introduces a new feature for iOS users. Now, users can link an email address to their accounts, providing an additional login option, especially helpful if SMS code reception poses challenges.

To utilize this feature, navigate to WhatsApp Settings, access the Account section, and link an email address. While this feature offers an alternative, creating and logging into an account still requires a phone number.

WhatsApp recently rolled out the 23.24.70 update for iOS users, mainly addressing performance issues. However, the official changelog lacks specifics about the introduced features, highlighting bug fixes that improved user experience.

If the feature isn't available yet, it's likely to gradually reach users in the upcoming weeks. Keep an eye on WhatsApp updates in the App Store or TestFlight app to catch this enhancement.

Furthermore, users might notice a revamped interface with a new green color in the latest update (WhatsApp for iOS 23.21.72). Stay observant of these visual alterations upon installing the update.

This email association feature aims to diversify login methods, ensuring accessibility even when encountering difficulties with SMS codes.

Moreover, the recent WhatsApp update introduces a convenient button above the chat icon, enabling swift access to AI-powered chats directly from the Chats tab. This streamlines the process, allowing users to reach these specialized chats without navigating through their contact list.
