The Royals posted an impressive total of 202 runs on the board, led by the sensational Yashasvi Jaiswal, who stole the show with his impressive batting skills. With the ball, Adam Zampa made a triumphant return to the XI, claiming three crucial wickets, while R Ashwin contributed two, leaving CSK struggling to keep up with the required rate and ultimately falling short by 32 runs.

The Royals scored a mammoth 64 runs in the first six overs, while CSK struggled to find their footing and could only muster up a measly 42 runs in the same period. Although Ruturaj Gaikwad tried to steady the ship, Adam Zampa ended Devon Conway's misery on the final ball of the powerplay.

Ravindra Jadeja was thrown into the mix to curb Jaiswal's rampage, but the youngster had other plans. He greeted Jadeja with a jaw-dropping switch hit that sailed over the boundary rope. Jaiswal raced to his fifty in just 26 deliveries and continued his onslaught even after Buttler's departure. Royals were cruising at 125 after 13 overs before Tushar Deshpande's magical over halted their progress. The Chennai Super Kings might have thought they had a chance when Jaiswal and Samson were dismissed, but the Rajasthan Royals had other plans. Dhruv Jurel, the latest addition to their list of heroes, stepped up to the plate and partnered with Devdutt Padikkal to accumulate crucial runs in the death overs. Although Shimron Hetmyer didn't quite get going, Jurel's resilience and the bowlers' lack of discipline helped them cross the 200 mark with ease. CSK's misery deepened after the powerplay as wickets tumbled like a house of cards. Gaikwad's promising innings came to an abrupt end when he miscued a shot, followed by Rahane and Rayudu who also failed to withstand the pressure. Ashwin emerged as the chief tormentor, picking up two wickets in quick succession to push CSK on the back foot. The three dismissals in nine deliveries left CSK reeling and in desperate need of a miracle.

The duo put together a quickfire partnership of 51 runs off just 24 balls, bringing some hope to CSK's flagging fortunes. However, the required run rate continued to climb, and the pressure got to them as Sandeep Sharma came back to bowl two exceptional overs, conceding just eight runs and denying CSK the boundaries they so badly needed. Although Dube managed to notch up a well-deserved fifty, it was not enough as CSK fell short of their target.
