Akhtar, known for her eloquence, recently addressed the controversy surrounding
Archie's casting and criticized the media investigation. As he prepares for his
new film, Akhtar blames the casting hype as a problem created by the media. She
explained her position in an interview with the Film Companion website,
stressing the media's role in escalating the controversy.
The
director's reaction was that the media focused on the child stars Suhana Khan,
Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor and overlooked the other actors in the film.
Director Akhtar takes aim at media issues, suggesting that casting decisions
are based on nepotism, and stresses the importance of acknowledging all seven cast
members, including newcomers Vidhan Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Dutt, and Yuvraj Minda.
