A woman from Spain who came to India for sightseeing was gang-raped. The victim herself rode a bike to reach the hospital for treatment.
A woman from Spain who had come to India for sightseeing was gang-raped. The incident occurred when the woman, along with her husband, reached Dumka in Jharkhand. Here, approximately 8-10 culprits perpetrated the crime. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. After receiving treatment, the victim herself, along with her husband, rode a bike to reach the hospital. The doctors admitted the victim to the hospital. According to information, this incident is from the Hansdiha Police Station area. The woman who came from Spain was visiting. The incident allegedly took place on Friday night.
The woman was accompanied by her husband. All of them had left for Bhagalpur by bike. The husband and wife had come to India on a tourist visa from abroad. These people had previously gone to Pakistan from Spain. After that, they reached Dumka in Jharkhand via Bangladesh. Here, these people had set up tents in the Kunji village area of the Hansdiha Police Station area.
The woman from Spain was supposed to go to Nepal from Jharkhand. When the woman was in the tent, around eight to ten people reached there and committed the gang-rape with the woman. The rape victim was brought to the Dumka Sadar Hospital with a police escort. The victim woman reached the Dumka hospital by riding a bike with her husband. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, SP Pritambar Singh Kherwar reached the scene and took stock of the situation. The police have taken three people into custody and are interrogating them.
After the incident, information was given to the police. Upon receiving the information, the police reached the scene and conducted an investigation. The police have registered a case based on the victim's complaint and initiated an investigation. Some people have been taken into custody and are being interrogated.
The victim has been admitted to Saraiyahat CHC, where she is undergoing treatment. Currently, the police are investigating the case. Those detained are being questioned. The opposition has raised the issue of gang rape of a foreign woman in the House. Amidst the uproar, the House was adjourned till 12 noon.
