Many academics were adamant that generative AI represented AI's bright future when interest in the field peaked last year.

AI skills and AI engineers in demand: Mark Zuckerberg might email you personally with job offer

A lot of people happened to be also inquisitive about how AI would change the job market. While some believed artificial intelligence would render jobs obsolete, others maintained that it would create new opportunities. Given that businesses like Meta are allegedly actively seeking AI specialists, it appears that the second alternative was correct. According to reports, Meta's CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, is trying to enlist the help of AI specialists from Google, Meta's primary competitor. The report continued by stating that Zuckerberg had sent Google Deep Mind researchers a direct message asking about possible job possibilities.

"Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has been reaching out to artificial intelligence researchers at Google's Deep Mind personally via email," according to The Information. Two people with knowledge of the situation have revealed this information.

According to an anonymous source, Zuckerberg had earlier sent Meta an email in which they expressed hope for their work and praised AI, with the former requesting to remain anonymous.

In addition, the investigation uncovered that Meta has been making job offers to potential hires prior to conducting interviews. According to reports, the business has also shifted its position on wage talks, and it is now thinking about offering employees who have other job offers a raise.
