Arun Yogiraj, a renowned sculptor from Mysuru, has crafted an exquisite idol of Ram Lalla set for installation at Ayodhya's grand Ram Temple. This selection, announced by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, signifies Karnataka's pride. Yogiraj, ecstatic yet awaiting official confirmation, reflects on the divine and child-like essence of the idol. The final choice among three idols was determined through a voting process on December 30 by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Board of Trustees. Yogiraj's distinguished craftsmanship, utilizing black stone, culminates in this revered depiction, adding to his legacy alongside notable works like the Adi Shankaracharya idol at Kedarnath and Subhash Chandra Bose's statue near India Gate.

Despite the joyous news, Yogiraj expressed his anticipation for official
confirmation of the idol's acceptance. Speaking to a news agency, he revealed
his meticulous approach to infusing divinity and a child-like essence into the
sculpture, ensuring its spiritual impact on observers.
The
selection process involved a voting procedure among three idols of Lord Ram
Lalla, expertly crafted by sculptors Arun Yogiraj, Ganesh Bhatt, and Satya
Narayan Pandey. The board examined the craftsmanship, materials used, and
adherence to the provided sketch before making the final decision. Yogiraj's work,
employing black stone, stands out among the other idols crafted from white
Makrana marble. This honor adds to Yogiraj's portfolio, renowned for his
craftsmanship in sculpting significant figures like Adi Shankaracharya and
Subhash Chandra Bose.
