Military exercises are also scheduled to be held along with India, a top tier security partner for Australia besides other countries like Japan and the US in August 2023. Apart from the field of defense, both the countries plan to implement the Economic Cooperation Trade Agreement (ECTA) after which their bilateral trade is expected to reach 50 US dollars from 27.5 US dollars. A Letter of Intent (LoI) has also been signed between Australia and India to carve out some mutual goals regarding clean energy.
