BJP Leader Sana Khan Beaten To Death By Husband

Jabalpur police on August 12 said that Sana Khan, the Minority Wing Chief of BJP's Maharashtra unit, who had been missing for the past week, was murdered by her husband.

The principal suspect in the case, identified as Amit, also known as Pappu Sahu, has been arrested in a collaborative operation involving Jabalpur and Nagpur Police. 

Khan's journey from Nagpur to Jabalpur was intended to meet her husband, Amit, with intentions of returning home within a 48-hour span.

Initial inquiries have unveiled Amit's involvement in illicit liquor trade and his ownership of a local roadside eatery near Jabalpur. Financial disagreements had continuously strained the couple's relationship. 

In the course of interrogation, Amit allegedly confessed to the crime, revealing that he had assaulted Khan at their residence, which ultimately culminated in her demise. Subsequently, he discarded her body into the Hiran River, situated approximately 45 kilometres from Jabalpur.

Authorities are presently engaged in a comprehensive examination of the crime scene, collaborating with the detained suspect to amass additional evidence. Evidently, Sana Khan's trip to Jabalpur aimed to address persisting financial disputes with Amit. Tragically, their encounter escalated into a heated altercation, prompting Amit's fatal actions that ended Khan's life.

Further reports from law enforcement indicate the possible complicity of another individual in the unfolding events, propelling intensified efforts to locate and apprehend this individual. As the inquiry advances, the arrested suspect remains under rigorous interrogation, aimed at uncovering the intricacies surrounding this heartrending episode.
