The suicide attack, which left many people injured, took place in front of a business center near Afghanistan's foreign ministry in Kabul. The Afghan forces identified the attacker and also shot at him in front of the business center.

Afghanistan, the auspicious month of Ramadan commenced on Thursday.

Abdul Nafy Takor, an interior ministry spokesman, took to Twitter to confirm the details regarding the attack. He tweeted, "With his killing, the explosives carried by the attacker also exploded which killed six civilians and wounded a number of others".

AFP reported that within three months, two suicide attacks, including this one, have taken place near the ministry. In Afghanistan, the auspicious month of Ramadan commenced on Thursday. This blast is the first attack since the most sacred month for Muslims has begun. As of now, no terrorist group has claimed responsibility.

Ever since the Taliban has taken charge of Afghanistan, it has been trying to suppress the news of the bombings that are taking place in the country. United Nations reported that in the earlier suicide attack, which also took place near the foreign ministry, 10 people were killed as well as 53 were wounded, while only 5 deaths were acknowledged by the Taliban. The responsibility for this attack, January 11, was claimed by Islamic State.

It is unfortunate that innocent civilians are being made the targets of this power struggle between the Taliban and the Islamic State.
